I am in London today for work so this week’s offering was snatched together quickly before dashing off to catch the train.
Our garden seems to be in an interlude between spring and summer flowers and I am a bit jealous of those such as alliums that are currently in bloom. So this week I have picked the self-seeders that grow like weeds and can therefore be happily spared.
There is red and white valerian, together with pink aquilegias and a ubiquitous geranium – we inherited this so any guesses at the variety welcome.
To find out what blooms others have gathered this week, visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.
Such a happy and pretty group. Love the jug! Hope that your work in London is fun.

This is beautiful. Simple and natural, and perfect for May. Also would be wonderful for Meghan!

Your snatched vase of blooms is vey pretty and it’s a shame you won’t be at home to appreciate it. Might your week’s work be connected with Chelsea?

No – although I am going to Chelsea tomorrow for pleasure, lucky me!

You did very well at creating a bouquet on the run! Valerian is a weed here too but one I allow to stay and spread in the driest areas of my garden, where anything that survives is valued.

A very dashing bouquet! Ha. Valerian is lovely and something I could never grow. Nice color combination.

That valerian looks so much like Jupiter’s beard. Even the colors are the same. It is interesting that there is an option to that sort of flower that is more environmentally responsible. Jupiter’s beard is invasive here.
